Thaumaturgy was originally taught to humans by extra-dimensional beings known as demons. It requires the ability to speak, move at least one hand freely, and (relatively) common components in order to successfully cast. Rolling a natural 1 on Skill die results in an automatic Shaken result, and a loss of 1d6 additional Power Points. This can result in a wound.
Practitioners of Thaumaturgy are known as warlocks. Thaumaturgical powers may use trappings, but do not count as Aspect powers for Aspect vulnerability. (IE A warlock casts a Bolt with the Fire trapping at a Water Aspected character. The target takes no additional damage despite the trapping.)
